My Journey in Photography

From a young age, photography has captivated me. When I was nine years old, I discovered my first camera beneath the Christmas tree — a gift that ignited a lifelong passion for capturing images. This love for photography continues to shape how I perceive the world.
During my business studies in Boston, I chose photography as my minor. During this time, I stumbled upon a suitcase filled with vintage yet well preserved Hasselblad equipment at a local camera store — a find that influenced my growth as a photographer and fueled my fascination with analog photography.
Following graduation, I rented a darkroom in Paris with a very experienced photographer. Hector taught me everything he knew about black-and-white photography. This intense period of experimentation and learning from my friend gave me, above all, a new perspective on image composition.
What fascinates me most about photography to this day is the possibility of capturing moments that last only a fraction of a second. Time cannot be stopped – but with a photograph, it is possible to preserve the fleeting moment and make it visible for generations.
Today, I find fulfillment in sharing my expertise with others who want to learn the art of photography. It is important to me to awaken their curiosity and to show them how they can discover, with the naked eye, what lies hidden right in front of them – those details that we often overlook in everyday life when we pass by inattentively.
Interestingly, I learn most from children. Their openness and inquisitiveness allow them to spot details that I might miss. Their fresh perspective inspires and reminds me to view the world with fresh eyes and to continue viewing the world with wonder.
